New Series of Abstractions, December 2012

Print work from my new series of abstractions inspired by yantras is at International Print Center New York in Chelsea (ipcny.org) in a benefit exhibition and silent auction at the Highline Loft next door to IPCNY through December 15, and also in New Prints Autumn at IPCNY extended through December 15, 2012 with a closing party December 13, 6 – 8 pm (http://www.ipcny.org/node/1785).

2011 Poetry Fellowship, New York Foundation for the Arts

New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA), the nation’s largest provider of funding, information and services to individual artists, awarded 115 NYFA Fellowships to 118 New York artists representing eight artistic disciplines.

This year’s 105 NYFA Fellows – who were chosen from among over 3,692 applicants in five categories – including Crafts/Sculpture; Digital/Electronic Work; Nonfiction Literature; Printmaking/Drawing/Book Arts, and Poetry. The Fellows were selected by peer panels, which were assembled with representatives from each artistic discipline.
